Jefferson's Nightmare

"The bill that came to the House floor Monday didn't include a measure held dear by many Democrats: mortgage reductions for homeowners in bankruptcy proceedings. That was rejected as a 'deal killer' by financial houses and their allies in Congress", my emphasis, Elizabeth Williamson at the WSJ, 30 September 2008.

Think about this. Financial houses make "deals" with the US as if they are foreign nations. If the morons who run our major houses keep this up, they will spark a revolution. Storm the Bastille! "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered", Thomas Jefferson. That's how it looks from here.
